When visiting Vancouver and staying at the Holiday Inn there is so many things to do and one of them is a visit to Cyprus Mountain no matter what time of year. In the warm weather there is walking the trails and hiking and in the winter, sledding, snowboarding and skiing. There is a timber-framed restaurant to dine after a day on the slops, along with a pub to warm the body after a day of fun in the snow.
This is where the family or the businessperson can go year round for fun; the slopes are rated by experience and cross-country skiing. This is one of the most popular places for the skier and it is also where the Official Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard Events for the 2010 Winter Olympic games will be held.
There are ski runs like the Gladed Run that takes the skier through the forest and ends with a picturesque view of Vancouver. Other slopes like the Lower Mainland and Mount Baker, Benny’s, Black Fly, Metero, Coyote7, and there are also trails for snow-shoeing. Snowshoeing is the perfect way to see all the beauty that Cyprus Mountain has to offer the visitor to Vancouver.
