Holiday Inn North Vancouver Hotel near Whistler Mountain
One of the most exciting places to go for the outdoor type of person while a guest at the Holiday Inn Vancouver is Whistler Mountain. This is a glacier resort for skiing in the winter and in the warmer weather it is known as one of the world’s best mountain bike parks. There are also warm weather sports and warm weather skiing and snowboarding, hiking, dinning and activities to enjoy.

Whistler Blackcomb is also known for being unique with summer glacier skiing, this gives the avid skier something to temp them even in warm weather. Whistler Mountain is also the designated spot for the Official Alpine Skiing venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. For the visitors that means there are slopes of every degree, from the beginner to the most advanced skier or snowboarder even while glacier skiing and that means its perfect for the adults and the children.

This is a year round place for outdoor excitement while staying in Vancouver at the Holiday Inn, with skiing, biking, alpine site seeing and hiking. There is rental equipment for the visitor who could not bring their own gear and for the person that is new to the sports available at Whistler Mountain.

This is where the air is fresh and clean and the beauty is never dull no matter what time of year it is for the adults and children spending a day on the mountain. One of the unique things about Whistler Mountain is the programs, which are available to adults and children with special needs; for both physical and cognitive disabilities. There are skiing and snowboarding lessons available for the beginner all the way through the advanced skier or snowboarder.

During the warmer weather the hiker at Whistler Mountain can expect to see nature at its best with pink and white Mountain Heather, Indian Paintbrush, Mountain Buttercup and other wild flowers and plants.

Grabbing a snack or a meal is not difficult to do at Whistler Mountain with many different types of dinning. If it is a quick snack and beverage there are tea huts, or for a meal in an unusual setting there are cabins that have a more rustic menu and Belgian waffles. There are also the more traditional restaurants with menus for many different ethnic flavors.

After a day in the fresh air, there is still more adventure with live entertainment, at Apres where food and music can be found to fit almost any visitor to have fun and an evening of excitement, before they return to the comfort of their Holiday Inn Vancouver suite.

In close proximity to the Hotel are many attractions such as; Furry Creek Golf, Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium, Cruise Ship Docks and Canada Place
